Overview:

The DD LITE from R.S. Technical Services is a compact, yet powerful unit that displays Footage, Date & Time, and Text information overlaid onto a video signal for recording onto a videotape. Text can be entered directly by keyboard, and up to 64 phrases (up to 27 characters long) as well as 5 whole screens can be stored and recalled from memory. Many settings are available, by simple keyboard commands that change the appearance of the display, turn on or off the various data fields (or the entire display), and move the data fields to different positions on the screen. An included one-page Quick Reference Guide lists these commands.

Design Features:

Stored Phrases: Stores up to 64 phrases, up to 27 characters in length, for later retrieval. Non-volatile memory keeps the data even after power to the unit has been shut off.

Stored Screens: Stores up to 5 entire screens full of text in non-volatile memory.

Footage Preset: Keyboard commands allow easy presetting or one-step zeroing.

Time Format: 12-hour or 24 hour format

Date Format: month/day/year or day/month/year

Appearance: White text with or without black borders: display options include the ability to create blinking characters or characters with a black background. Footage can be displayed double height. Characters can also be made brighter or darker, through keyboard commands.

Display Modes: 8 different display modes give a choice of appearance styles.

Footage Input: RST Standard 10 pulses per foot, 2 phases with quadrature. Other configurations are possible.
